 馃寛LA TORTUGA Y LA LIEBRE.

馃寛In the world of animals there was a very arrogant hare because he told everyone that he was the fastest. That's why she always laughed at the slow turtle.

-Look at the turtle! Hey turtle, don't run so much that you'll get tired of going so fast! - Said the hare, laughing at the turtle. One day they were talking and the turtle had the idea of making a strange bet with the hare.

"I'm sure I can beat you in a race," she said.

- Me? - asked the amazed hare.

-Yes to you. Let's bet on that stone and see who wins the race. The hare, very amused, accepted. All the animals gathered to watch the race. The path and the goal were marked. Once ready, the race began to great applause. Trusting in his speed, the hare let the tortoise free and he lazed around. She had enough time to defeat such a slow creature! Then she started running, she ran fast like the wind while the turtle went slowly but without stopping. Immediately she moved on. She stopped by the road and sat down to rest. When the tortoise passed by her, the hare mocked her once again. She left her lead and began her brisk walk. She did the same several times but, despite her teasing, the turtle continued on its way until it reached the finish line. When the hare woke up, she ran with all her might but it was too late, the tortoise had won the race.

That day was very sad for the hare and she learned a lesson that she will never forget: you should never make fun of others.
